The second largest location of the Weber Group.

Weber Food Technology in Neubrandenburg, Germany.

The Weber site in Neubrandenburg is located in the middle of the Mecklenburg Lake District. After German reunification, Günther Weber seized the newly created opportunities that had arisen and started building the production facility in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in 1998. The first machines were already being produced the following year.  A lot has happened since then: thanks to extensive structural extensions, the site now comprises seven factory halls with a total area of 18,000 square meters and is therefore the second largest in the group of companies - an important milestone in consolidating the world market leadership of the company in the field of slicers.

In Neubrandenburg, about 450 employees mainly manufacture slicers (high-performance slicing machines) and skinners (derinding, skinning and degreasing machines). In addition, spare parts are manufactured and delivered here, machines are converted and customer machines are serviced.  With the inauguration of the so-called "Weber Think Tank" in 2008, the location was expanded to include the areas of development and construction. Large investments in production and machine technology - thus. in automatic turning machines as well as grinding and welding robots - make the manufacturing at Weber Neubrandenburg a real pioneer of Production 4.0.

"The highly automated production and the efficient processes, we are well prepared for the future. What others are still talking about is a living reality with us."

- Robert Schwabe, Chief Procurement Officer

In particular slicers 305, 604, 804 as well as the weSLICE 4000 and 4500 are manufactured in the modern production halls. The Weber slicers are characterized by their precise slicing results and the particularly high slicing quality - regardless if soft butter cheese or hard raw ham is being processed. The weight-accurate slicing promises the highest yield with minimal give-away.

Naturally, the slicers from Neubrandenburg are IIoT-ready and can be integrated directly into a line solution from Weber. Moreover, in addition to the slicers, all other machines in the complete lines - from the product preparation to the packaging machine - are also exclusively "Made in Germany". In doing so, all components made of stainless steel come from our own production. This means an in-house production ratio of 80 % and is the basis of the typical premium quality from Weber.

To this day, the success of the company and the corporate culture are characterized by the founder Günther Weber. The "four-gate city" itself is also close to his heart, which he expresses through his great social commitment in Neubrandenburg: he has not only established a foundation to support social projects such as education, child and youth welfare, animal breeding as well as sports, but in 2017 he also donated a new organ to the concert church of Neubrandenburg from his private assets.

Günther Weber was rightly appointed honorary citizen of the city of Neubrandenburg in 2022.
