Becoming a complete line solution provider.

Weber Food Technology in Werther (Germany).

Located in the Gütersloh district on the northern edge of the Teutoburg Forest, you will find the Weber site in Werther. With the acquisition of a renowned packaging machine manufacturer in 2017, Weber brought packaging machine expertise in-house and thus closed the gap to overall production line portfolio. From product preparation to slicing and packaging, everything comes from a single source, the world market leader Weber. The entire product range of high-tech machines promises "premium quality - Made in Germany."

The Werther location has approx. 30 years of experience in the field of packaging technology and tool making. The focus here is primarily on the production of thermoforming packaging machines - the Weber wePACK 7000 - as well as the required components such as format and cutting tools. The wePACK 7000 is the first thermoforming packaging machine to be completely developed and manufactured in-house. It features maximum output, special ease of maintenance and servicing, and thanks to its robust stainless steel frame a long service life. Through Weber's "True Integration" concept, the packaging machine is perfectly intergratedwithin the complete line and, in combination with the Weber PickRobot or the CompactLoader, offers automation at the highest level. From MAP to skin and folding packs to multi-layers, the wePACK delivers the right packaging solution for every application, following to the motto: "Whatever you slice - wePACK".

"It motivates me to work in such a future-oriented company. Experiencing and shaping the innovations in packaging technologies every day makes me proud."

- Lukas Medrow, Assembly

Since mid-2023, the Weber portfolio also features the weLABEL, Weber's very own labeling machine. The cross-web labeler comes in two options: The weLABEL 5000 for the top side of the packaging and the weLABEL 5500 for the bottom side. Whatwas previously developed as a top-secret project at Weber's headquarters in Breidenbach for months is now being manufactured at the manufacturing site in Werther - another important step towards being able to offer everything from a single source and make life a little easier for Weber customers.

Since the acquisition six years ago, a lot has happened at the Werther site: the number of employees has doubled from 40 to over 80. Every day, a highly motivated team and four different departments work on the perfect packaging solutions for the food industry. And innovations need space: up until 2024, the planned factory area will be expanded from around 6,000 square meters to around 14,000 square meters. This investment is just one of many steps towards securing the presence of Weber in the field of industrial packaging of food products.
