Innovative tool change for the wePACK 7000.
Changing tools has never been easier—it takes just seconds and requires no additional tools: The new SmartChange quick change system by Weber makes it possible! The innovative solution for changing tools in the forming station and the lower forming tools was developed exclusively for the Weber wePACK 7000 thermoforming packaging machines and creates maximum efficiency and user-friendliness.
The lower forming tools are especially quick and easy to change—completely without tools. Thanks to SmartChange, the bottom web foil no longer needs to be cut, which eliminates material waste during the tool changing process. After selecting the corresponding tool on the operating panel of the Weber wePACK 7000, the tool is automatically unlocked by the lifting gear, after which it can be easily swiveled out into the changing position using a manually guided lever.
During the development of the SmartChange system, Weber was particularly mindful of safety and ergonomics. For example, the operator can see at a glance whether the tool is positioned correctly after a tool change. This guarantees absolute process reliability, because it is not possible to start the machine while a tool is installed incorrectly or not completely locked. In addition, the Weber SmartChange system is designed for ergonomic posture and work height. Working within the machine frame is not necessary.
